Well Played, Keeper Tax

Very rarely does an ad on social media speak to me the way this one does. Well played, Keeper Tax.

A Facebook ad for the expense-tracking app Keeper Tax. It imagines a text exchange between the app and Donald Trump, in which he approves massive write-offs for hair styling, golf, and hotel losses. Includes a disclaimer that Keeper Tax does not endorse tax fraud.

I explored the Keeper tax website, and it doesn’t have any kind of tour, trial, or FAQ, so I cannot offer an opinion about the service itself. On the face of it, I feel $24/month is steeper than the market will bear right now (and they better be offering something super special at the best of times for that price). However, their Free Resources and blog page does have useful tax advice for freelancers.
